The Imax T3 is a small compact 36V/10Ah electric folding scooter with a top speed of 18 MPH. The range is from 15- 25 miles depending on how much the rider weighs and the terrain. Hilly terrain and bumpy sidewalks will be on the lower end of the spectrum while flat and smooth terrain will maximize the efficiency and give a longer distance.

This scooter is my first electric kick scooter and I haven’t test drove any of other similar scooters so I only compared with those similar one’s official specs online such as ecorico m series, e-twow booster, and also glion dolly.
Short version of this review:
I love it! It even has USB port to charge your phone on the display throttle!
Longer version of this review:
I-max t3 does not go as fast as ecorico m series, but I didn’t need speed. Tried max speed on a flat road today and I got 17mph, that was scary. I actually rode this scooter with my kid on level 1 speed and she weighs about 33lbs and I weigh less than 100lbs. It got up to 12mph.
Brake works quite smooth just like riding a bike. One of the reasons why i didn’t choose e-twow booster or glion dolly was that they didn’t have a hand brake. Regenerative brake does not work when the power is gone, the power is full or something went wrong with the system. E-twow has the regenerative and a physical brake that’ll be operated by foot. But I was sure I will never feel comfortable nor confident to use it when I’m riding the scooter at 10mph or any other speed that is faster than walking. So glion and twow were out of my list.
Ecorico m series have a hand brake. And the fact that their batteries were made by Sanyo and supposed to be better than just lithium ion batteries, I was so close to get m5. But then, I knew the wheels may be a problem. 5 inch wheels on old bumpy road… Even though it has suspensions, It will be a rough ride. And then the weight of the scooter was 36lbs. Which was a bit heavier than I-max t3… Smaller wheels and heavier body were the main reasons I didn’t pick ecorico m series. If you are planning to ride on a smooth road and don’t really care for the weight, ecorico may be the best in the market at the moment because of the support from the company, extra options you can add later on your scooter, and also quality parts (name brand).
But I needed bigger wheels and lighter body weight.
I was also very close to get a lighter and cheaper electric folding scooter from China. The specs on the item description were similar to the 1000 USD range e kick scooters, so I thought why not?
But I luckily found a few videos of the scooters. They were so loud. I mean, it sounded like actual fuel scooters but the power was 250w and the description even said “so quiet”… Glad I kept digging before spending 500 USD on such a noisy toy.
I-Mac t3 is, quiet. It was so quiet that pedestrians did not notice it’s approaching.
I have ridden this scooter for a day, total about 5miles. And about 3 miles were with my kid so the total weight was about 130lbs for 3miles and other 2 miles were just me (100 lbs), it’s still showing 4 bars on battery indicator.
I am going to go for longer ride soon. Then I will update the review again.
By the way, i have wrote on the short version of review, it has USB port on the display / throttle. It is covered with a rubber cap. You can charge your phone while riding this scooter ( it is surprising that nobody’s mentioning this!). I’m going to get a phone mount for the handle bar.
And the display have backlit.
