Our Warranty Policy
Epic Cycles Warranty Policy
All products sold by Epic Cycles are subject to the warranty terms outlined below. Warranty coverage may vary by product and manufacturer. Certain warranty claims may require inspection and approval by the manufacturer before coverage is granted.
Product Warranty
Epic Cycles warrants that all new electric bicycles, electric scooters, electric dirt bikes, and electric unicycles sold by Epic Cycles are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when purchased by the original retail purchaser.
Warranty Period
-
12 months from the date of original purchase for electric bicycles, scooters, electric dirt bikes, and electric unicycles
-
2 months for demo or final sale products
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Covered Components
This warranty applies to essential electronic and structural components when the product is used under normal riding conditions and maintained according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Covered components include:
-
Frame
-
Electric motor
-
Battery
-
Display console
-
Wiring harnesses
-
Controller
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed within the warranty period, Epic Cycles may repair or replace the defective component at its discretion.
Unless otherwise stated, labour costs are not included under the product warranty.
Repairs performed by unauthorized service providers may void warranty coverage.
Service Warranty
Epic Cycles provides a 2-month (60 day) warranty on all in-house service work, beginning from the date of service purchase.
If a problem arises that is directly related to the service performed, Epic Cycles will inspect and correct the issue without additional labour charges during this period.
After 60 days, standard labour rates will apply to any further diagnostics or repairs.
This warranty applies only to the specific service performed and does not cover unrelated mechanical or electrical failures.
Manufacturer Parts Warranty
All electric vehicle products sold by Epic Cycles are covered by the respective manufacturer’s limited parts warranty, which typically extends up to 12 months from the original purchase date, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.
Please note that this warranty is provided by the manufacturer and not by Epic Cycles directly.
Epic Cycles may assist customers in submitting warranty claims; however:
-
All warranty claims must be reviewed and approved by the manufacturer
-
The manufacturer may approve, deny, or request inspection of any claim
-
Epic Cycles cannot guarantee the outcome of a manufacturer warranty claim
If a claim is approved, the defective part will be repaired or replaced according to the manufacturer’s warranty policy.
Labour associated with installing warranty replacement parts may not be covered unless authorized by the manufacturer.
Repeat Component Failures
Parts replaced under warranty are covered only for the remaining period of the original warranty and do not restart a new warranty period.
If the same component fails more than once within the warranty period, Epic Cycles reserves the right to require additional review and approval from the manufacturer before authorizing further warranty replacements.
Epic Cycles may also decline repeated warranty replacements if the failure is determined to be related to:
-
Misuse or abuse
-
Performance modifications or aftermarket upgrades
-
Operating conditions outside the manufacturer’s intended specifications
-
Environmental factors or improper maintenance
Final determination of warranty eligibility for repeated component failures may require inspection by Epic Cycles and/or the product manufacturer.
Performance Modifications & Upgrades
Electric vehicles are designed to operate within factory specifications.
The installation or use of aftermarket performance components or non-OEM parts may void the manufacturer’s warranty.
Examples include:
-
Performance controllers (EBMX, BAC, etc.)
-
Aftermarket battery upgrades
-
Motor upgrades
-
Speed or power tuning
-
Firmware modifications
-
Electrical system modifications
Epic Cycles may install such components at the customer’s request; however, warranty claims may be denied by the manufacturer if modifications are detected.
Battery Performance & Degradation
Lithium-ion batteries naturally lose capacity over time due to charging cycles and normal usage.
Reduced range or capacity over time is considered normal wear and is not covered under warranty.
Battery warranty claims may be denied if the battery has been:
-
Improperly stored
-
Left unused for extended periods without maintaining charge
-
Exposed to extreme temperatures
-
Damaged due to impact or water exposure
-
Used with non-approved chargers
Improper winter storage or extended inactivity may void battery warranty coverage.
Off-Road & Extreme Use
Many electric vehicles sold by Epic Cycles are capable of high-performance riding. However, damage caused by extreme riding conditions is not covered under warranty.
Examples include:
-
Racing or competitive riding
-
Jumping or stunt riding
-
Aggressive riding or wheelies
-
Commercial rental or delivery use
-
Overloading beyond manufacturer specifications
Epic Cycles reserves the right to inspect products and determine warranty eligibility.
Warranty Exclusions
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by:
-
Misuse or negligence
-
Accidents or collisions
-
Environmental exposure
-
Improper maintenance or storage
-
Unauthorized modifications
Wear & Consumable Parts
Normal wear items are not covered under warranty, including but not limited to:
-
Tires
-
Brake pads
-
Spokes
-
Rims
-
Grips
-
Bearings
-
Chains or belts
Warranty Inspection & Diagnostic Fees
All warranty claims require inspection and diagnosis by Epic Cycles and/or the manufacturer before warranty coverage can be confirmed.
If a product is submitted for warranty evaluation and the issue is determined not to be covered under warranty, Epic Cycles reserves the right to charge standard diagnostic and labour fees for the time spent inspecting and testing the product.
Customers will be notified of any applicable charges before repairs are performed.
If a manufacturer warranty claim is denied, the customer may be responsible for diagnostic, labour, shipping, or handling costs associated with the claim.
Limitation of Liability
Epic Cycles’ liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective components only.
Epic Cycles is not responsible for:
-
Loss of use
